History 30 - Wrote quiz. Discussed identification of early explorers.

E.L.A. 10 - Presented unknown projects. Last four are due tomorrow.

French 7 - To reinforce numbers, we played bingo. Finished Annexe 8.

Creative Writing 20 - Presented their favorite poem to the class. Worked on writing folder - due Friday, Oct. 15. Writing Portfolio due - Friday, Oct. 22.

French 11 - Took in paragraph on the influence of T.V. Discussed T.V. shows that use product placement. Assigned final project - discussing a genre of t.v. program and discussing its appeal - due Friday, Oct. 29.

C.E. 11 - Read p. 74 of text - the Edict of Milan. Discuss the Council of Nicea and looked at heretical teachings. Read the Nicene Creed and did worksheet on personal beliefs regarding religion.

E.L.A. 10 - Did three more presentations. One more presentation due Monday.

C.E. 10 - Worked on Storybook of their lives assignment - due Monday, Oct. 18, 2010.

E.L.A. 10 - One presentation for the Unknown assignment. Read silently for 10 minutes. Discuss the short story, After the Sirens in terms of elements of a short story. Read the poem A Spaceman Came Travelling. Will assign an expository paragraph to write - due October 25, 2010.

French 7 - will work on Annexe 9-12. May assign final project for the theme of pastimes if time.

C.E. 11 - Will continue looking at creeds. Will assign project - compose your own creeds and personalize the poster - due Monday, November 1, 2010.

C.E. 10 - Read Women are persons. p. 11 of text. Make notes on the 7 traits of a person p. 12. Read p. 15 and 16 - Do we need each other and discuss the moral of the story. Read p. 15 about how even birds need each other.

E.L.A. 30 - Discuss Shooting an Elephant - will do a homework check. Work on World Literature Assignment.

Creative Writing 20 - Don't forget Portfolios due Friday, Oct. 22. Discuss short fiction. Write a paragraph from the perspective of 5 different people who see a strange person entering a bank.

Health 8I - Because we will be missing class for Variety Night dress rehearsal, your presentations on Support Services will be Friday, October 22 - Period 1 during your C.E. class.

C.E. 10T - Discussed what it means to be human according to the Bible. Looked at personality traits of humans and discussed who would have those traits today.

E.L.A 30 - Read Shooting An Elephant. Will finish questions tomorrow.

E.L.A. 10 - Worked on the Unknown Assignment - due Oct. 14.

History 30 - Watched Claiming the Wilderness - fur trade in New France. Gave 7 people to identify.

Creative Writing 20 - Wrote a poem that tells a familiar story - similar to "The Legend of the Qu'Appelle, but not so long.
