E.L.A. 12T and 12 S - Discussed questions to the Lonely Land. Read Our Drum and Not Just a Platform for My Dance. Read Who Then is a Canadian? Discussed elements of an informal essay. Assigned an informal essay on being a Canadian - due Feb. 13

E.L.A. 10C - Read Refugee Blues and discussed. Read Young and In Love with their Wheels and discussed. Assigned a business letter due Thursday dealing with the responsibilities of driving. Also had a class to work on their novel assignment.

C.E. 12 T - Worked on essay on Marie Rivier's life. Due Feb. 29.

History 10 - Finished looking at the mistakes of Napoleon and looked at a political cartoon.

History 30 - Read through world view and social contract. Looked at Iroquois Confederacy and the Great Law. Looked at forces of colonization. Identification of important people at time of European contact. Due Wednesday, Feb. 1.

History 10 - Reviewed events of the Revolution by reading notes and viewing a powerpoint. Friday, will finish looking at Napoleon and will have questions to do.
E.L.A. 10 - Discussed issues dealing with equity and ethics. Read story The Bottle Picker and discussed. Read poem First they came and discussed. Discussed violation of human rights. Assignment - research a country that violates human rights. Describe what you think should happen to that country. Due Monday. Assigned novel study to be done Feb. 17.

E.L.A. 30 - Introduction to Canadian literature - find a picture of Canada and describe it using two examples of figurative language. Due Friday. Choose a Saskatchewan community and make a false reason for its name. Due Monday, Jan. 30. Read Between Two Furious Oceans, The Provinces and The Lonely Land.
(12T will read this Friday.) Choose a Canadian novel to read and assigned a novel study to do. Due date March 5.

History 30 - Looked at physical characteristics of Canada including map. Friday - will look at Aboriginal groups pre contact and will research 5 of the main groupings. May look at Iroquois Confederacy if time. Current events Friday - Brianna B, Alanna, Josee, Janessa, Keisha, Kristie.

C.E. 12T - Assigned an essay on Marie Rivier - due Feb. 29
