- Watch Heritage Minutes - looking at Canadian Heroes. Assign oral presentation - choose a Canadian who you consider a hero and prepare a three minute speech on his or her life - will present March 6.

History 20
- Continue with notes on WWI - 1917. Watch part of the movie Passchendale. Current events Friday - Sasha, Mikaela and Caitlin. Write notes on WWI - 1918.

History 30 - Caitlin will do a presentation on New Zealand. Finish questions to Confederation Achieved. Friday - correct questions. Read BNA Act and assign Accords to research.

C.E. 10T - Do Activity for Lent - make 4 intentions for a region of the world that prays for young people in the world. Clean desks.

Will discuss them together. Watch youtube video - Stuff Saskatchewan people say. Make a list of Sk and Can. expressions. Read essay Where Have All the Heroes Gone.Begin watching Heritage Minutes - looking at Canadian heroes.

C.E. 10T - Finish watching the video Prince of Egypt. Assign Marie Rivier project due Mar. 7

- Discussed questions to Macdonald/Cartier coalition. Assigned questions to Confederation Achieved. Due - Friday

- Worked on project dealing with battles of WWI. Looked at battles at sea and in the air during WWI. Will present today ( Tuesday ). Tomorrow may continue battle presentation or begin to look at 1917 as a turning point in the war.

- Discussed poems - The Provinces, Not Just a Platform, Our Drum, The Lonely Land. Began a new theme - Canadian Identity - read Who Then is a Canadian. Writing assignment - Write an informal essay on what it means to be Canadian - Due Thursday, Feb. 14. Read We Have to Sit Opposite - short story and answered questions due Thursday, Feb. 7.

History 20 - Discussed trench warfare of WWI. Assigned a small project on a different battle that occurred from 1914 - 1916. Each group must make an information sheet for their battle and present to the class. Due Tuesday, Feb. 12.

History 30 - Finish reading Factors of Confederation. Work on questions to political deadlock and the Atlantic Colonies. Due Monday, Feb. 11. Karlee, Hailey, Angela current events.
